Will they still lay eggs?

The charity cannot guarantee the future laying capability of any individual hen, but most will continue to lay and while their eggs will often increase in size, over time they may decrease in number.  Ex-bats are not familiar with using a nest box and at first may drop their eggs wherever they happen to be. A china or rubber egg placed in a nest box can prove a useful training aid encouraging birds into the nest.
