One of the latest recipients of our Gold Eggsellence Award is T & Cake, a modern,
licensed café on a bustling suburban street in leafy Almondbury, West Yorkshire run and
owned by Tracy and Stephen Jackson. The café is well known in the area for serving
bespoke teas, excellent coffee, interesting sandwiches, tasty snacks and, of course,
cake. Lots of cake. Whether it’s their very own Almond-Berry cake (Almondbury!), classic
Sachertorte, Victoria Sponge or Black Forest Gateau, cakes are what they do best. And
of course all the cakes and other delights that T & Cake produce are made using free
range eggs!
At T&Cake the Jacksons are passionate about keeping things local – almost everything
they serve is sourced in the area. Where possible they grow much of their own fruit,
vegetable and herbs, and the eggs in their food come from happy hens who free range
on a local farm in nearby Halifax.

been given to Michelin star restaurants, garden centres, tea rooms, local pubs and
