Donating by Direct Debit
We are very lucky to have a wide range of supporters who make it possible for us to keep
on re-homing hens through the funds they raise. With so many options, be it selling goods
through eBay and donating the proceeds to charity, doing a skydive, holding a
Free Range
at work or raising funds through selling surplus eggs, we thought in this issue we
would include the option to give a monthly donation by Direct Debit. Over the years we
have had many calls and emails asking if supporters can set up a Direct Debit, so we have
decided to make the leap – and make it possible for you to do just that. We understand it is
not everyone’s cup of tea to give in this way and completely understand if you prefer not to,
however on behalf of the thousands of hens we save each year, we hope that it becomes a
future ‘nest egg’ for many years to come.
Direct Debit is easy and keeps our admin costs down. If you are a taxpayer you can
increase your donation by 25p for every £1 you give by simply signing the Gift Aid
declaration at the bottom of the form. The extra money comes from the government, not
from you!
£4 a month
could help fund our Advice Line
£8 a month
could help transport hens from farms to retirement
£15 a month
could help kit out a team so they can care for and re-home hens
Of course any regular amount is welcome, but if you are not able to commit to giving
regularly we would be delighted to receive any donation you are able to make.
You will find our Direct Debit form opposite.
Thank you!
