Since we hatched our
Free Range Friday
campaign lots of you have raised thousands of pounds
and baked mountains of cakes at home, at work and at school. There’s no doubt about it, we
have some eggstraordinary supporters out there.
Superstition wasn’t a consideration for
Jackie Nayler
when she held her second
Free Range Friday
Friday 13
June. The sun shone and guests enjoyed a
Guess the name of the hen’ competition, raffle, bring
buy stall, and lots of free range cakes. Even hens,
Romeo and Juliet, got to make the most of the day by
joining in with the party and despite the date, the
event made a lucky £380, so thank you Jackie, your
donation has helped to fund the collection of
thousands of hens this summer.
Sarah Coxon
turned her two hobbies, caring
for her hens and baking, into work-based
Free Range Friday
events, largely due to the
fact that all her colleagues love cake! As well
as a raffle and selling her home-made cakes,
Sarah and her colleagues discussed the
importance of free range shopping and food
products. We can see why Sarah’s colleagues
rate the cake … yum. Thanks for the £81.01
raised Sarah!
Jackie’s friend, Chris, with the ‘ Guess the
name of the hen’ competition prize.
