Find the Golden Egg!
Well done to the two winners of the summer Golden Egg competition, Daphne Ford
from Fareham and Rory Radmall from Coventry, both won one of our gorgeous
henny peg bags. Those of you who were disappointed, you don’t need to miss out
and can still buy our very popular bag by visiting our shop at
Find the Golden Egg in this issue and you could be in with the
chance of winning an egg skelter, just email your details and the
location of the Golden Egg to
or send
your entry to: Competitions, British Hen Welfare Trust, Hope
Chapel, Rose Ash, South Molton, Devon EX34 4RF.
We normally expect to find snacks and fizzy drinks in vending
machines, but Scottish egg producers, JSR Services, have
introduced an altogether healthier option containing eggs.
Each compartment can be individually priced and the machines accept coins
and notes, dispensing change. It’s a great idea and has lots of potential
applications besides the obvious farm gate
sales: garage forecourts, holiday parks and
what about gyms and health spas – all that
protein and goodness to take home after a
work out?! Feedback from customers
is very encouraging … let me know
at
if you spot
one out and about, and what
you think of the idea.
Crisps, fizzy drinks
and now eggs
