Omlet’s celebration of World Egg Day

Posted 7th October 2015 01:03pm by

World Egg Day is celebrated every year on the second Friday of October, and events are held across the world in celebration of chickens and eggs. This year our friends at Omlet are going to be donating £50 from every Eglu sold and hope to raise thousands! All monies raised will help us to help even more hens enjoy a free range retirement.

Since launching in 2004 Omlet have sold over 35,000 Eglus and estimates that approximately 105,000 chickens call an Eglu a home. Over the years these lucky chickens have produced at least 88 million eggs that have been enjoyed poached, boiled and fried, turned into birthday cakes, wedding cakes, soufflés and of course omelettes!

Our partnership with Omlet began nearly 10 years ago and along with sponsoring our welcome packs to date they have donated over £4,000. Thank you Omlet!

So if you are new to hen keeping or perhaps want to increase your flock size, buying an Eglu on World Egg Day will mean not only happy, cosy hens this winter but a £50 donation to help more hens enjoy a desirable des-res for their retirement.  What’s not to like?!

The offer will run until midnight on Friday 9th October, if you would like to place an order or find out more about the Omlet Eglu hen coop visit www.omlet.co.uk.
