Sometimes it seems that our creative and energetic community fundraising supporters can bring in funds to help hens from any event – local shows and fetes, jumble sales, car boot sales and yard sales all offer opportunities to re-cycle, de-clutter and raise some money at the same time – a double feel-good factor!
You can sell egg and hen-themed merchandise, baked goods, or something completely different… We have lots of wonderful community fundraisers who help us by raising money so we can re-home thousands of hens each year.
Amy Hamilton is currently selling some lovely chicken bunting to help raise money for us and Evie Walker (you may have heard us mention her a few times…) has been selling little wooden chicken decorations which have gone down a storm. Victoria Susserott donates the proceeds from her chicken pet portraits to us and Pat Freeman has just raised £287 for us at her
Garden Party which included a raffle and tombola! Yvonne Burnotte is another lady whose efforts for fundraising we love to shout about as she has held some truly amazing fundraisers which include a variety of activities for her guests, such as raffles and tombolas, best/worst dressed guest as well as lots of delicious looking treats for them to eat.
Not to mention all the lovely people who donate their wonderful crochet chickens to us so we can raise funds by selling them at shows throughout the year!
There are such a wide range of fundraising ideas that means anyone can be a fundraiser, even you!
