Twinkly lights are casting their gentle glow over more doorsteps each day as Christmas comes ever closer.
The nights have well and truly drawn in and, for us humans, cosy season is welcomed with mugs of hot chocolate enjoyed under a blanket in front of the fire while watching our favourite TV shows.
When it comes to our hens, they needn’t feel left out in the cold, because with Dengie Fresh Bed for Chickens they’ve got everything they need for their own version of a girls’ night in.
Its super soft straw creates a deep layer of plush bedding for your hens to snuggle down into on chilly evenings – a fresh covering is the equivalent of jumping into a bed with clean bed sheets! Then there’s the smell. Pine oil is added for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties so their coop isn’t just cosy, it’s hygienic too with the scent to match.
The choice of hens everywhere
Dengie Fresh Bed is the bedding of choice for Kat Shovlin from Hen Weekend Chicken Boarding, who tells us it’s also a firm favourite with her feathered friends.
“That happy chicken chatter you can hear? It’s my hens discovering their Dengie Fresh Bed and absolutely loving every moment.
“As soon as the bedding went down, the coop transformed into a chorus of clucking celebration – if hens could post their own review, they’d be yelling, “THIS IS THE ONE!”
“Dengie Fresh Bed is soft, clean, dust-extracted and brilliantly absorbent, it keeps the coop dry and snug no matter what the weather throws at us. And trust me, the girls know quality when they feel it — they never stay quiet for bedding that doesn’t get their seal of approval!”
Dengie doesn’t cost the earth
Another string to Dengie’s environmental bow is its Green Status for Investors in the Environment, a national environmental accreditation scheme. Its packaging includes recycled plastic and is recyclable; Dengie uses approximately 60 tons of recycled plastic in its packaging every year – that’s equivalent to 150,000 x 4-pint milk bottles!
Supporting ex-commercial hens
The best bit? Buying a bale of Dengie Fresh Bed raises funds to support our lifesaving work rehoming tens of thousands of ex-commercial hens to loving families every year.
Whether you’ve got a flock of three or thirty, Dengie has two bale sizes – 100ltr & 50ltr – to support both small and large coops so, if you haven’t already tried it, now’s the time.
