You’re Warmly Invited to Join BHWT’s Christmas Appeal!

Hen With Christmas Tree

2020 has undoubtedly been an unpredictable year for all of us. Despite all of the difficulties that we have all faced, we are thrilled to have rehomed tens of thousands of hens already this year. But we are not stopping there! We want to continue to raise awareness of our work and save the lives of as many hens as possible, and that’s where we need your help.

We’d love to invite you to get involved with our 2020 Christmas Campaign. All you need to do is create a short 15-45 second video on your smart phone of yourself (and your hens if you have them) to be shared across social platforms this December. It would be spectacular if you would share it across your social media pages and tag us to show your support for the BHWT.

The video can be about your Christmas traditions and how the humble hen makes that happen – you can’t make eggnog without breaking some eggs! If your hens are celebrating Christmas with you, how are they getting involved? Will they be receiving some festive treats or are they getting a visit from Santa? We would love to see you share some feathery fun this Christmas time.

For those that may not be social media savvy, we’d love to receive your videos to BHWTsocial@bwht.co.uk via WeTransfer. Need help? There’s a great article that explains how to send a transfer on their website.

You can also take a look at our video of Jane and her lovely hen Tinsel for some inspiration on what you could do this Christmas.

We hope you’ll join in and help bring our Christmas Campaign to life.

Merry Christmas and Cheers to 2021!

Your Christmas traditions

What are your family traditions at Christmas time? Let us know how you celebrate this special time of year with your loved ones, whether they’re human or hen.

How does the humble hen contribute?

The humble hen does a lot for Christmas. How will they contribute to your Christmas? Maybe you’ll be adventurous this year and try to make your own Christmas cake, or, perhaps eggs will be part of the main Christmas breakfast? Whatever you are doing this year, we’d love for you to share it with us.
