You’ve found yourself here because you love hens and, we hope, want to give more of them a brighter future. This Christmas, we’re asking chicken lovers like you to help us fill a van with hens.
How? Donate to our appeal and every penny will be spent on adding a new van to our fleet so that thousands of hens each year can be transported safely from farm to back garden.
Just one of our vans travels up to 6,000 miles a year, transporting approximately 9,500 little birds to a brighter future where they can sleep on soft bedding, enjoy space to roam and stretch out their wings in the sun, or in front of a crackling fire if their keepers are so inclined.
Our existing vehicles are stretched to capacity which is why we’re in need of a new one.

It’s essential that anyone driving past our van out and about knows who we are and what we do, and that the hens inside are on their way to a much-loved new home as a family pet. Therefore what better way to celebrate your generous donation than acknowledging it within our logo.
Your past donations bought us two vans – one in the Midlands and another in Devon and, between them, those vans have saved over 70,000 hens from slaughter and sent them on their way to free-range freedom.

The best news of all is that when you donate to our van appeal, your gift will be doubled. Our generous match funders have offered to match whatever we raise up to value of £30,000, meaning there is potential for us to generate £60,000 which would cover the full cost of our new van.

“No trying to work out how the trailer fits to your car; no scrabbling around in another vehicle to see whether you have a first aid kit (for the chickens!) or a tissue (for you!)
