When we last appealed for your help you donated enough to help us create FOUR new rehoming teams with the potential to rehome an extra 10,000 hens between them.
As you know, these teams cost money to run, so we are very much hoping to raise £17,950 this summer which would support three of these teams and their lifesaving efforts.
Will you help us again?
Why we need your support
Saving thousands of hens from slaughter every year doesn’t come cheap, but their lives are worth every penny.
From the fuel we put in our vans to the food they put in their tummies, everything costs money and without it we simply couldn’t operate, which is why we count on your generosity.
On average it costs £5,983 to run one team for a year. We keep costs down as much as possible thanks to our amazing volunteers and support from partner companies, but there is essential spending that we can’t avoid, so your donations will allow our teams to send so many hens off to a better future.

Hens like Maeve, Marley and Vera
Three years ago, these girls arrived at their new home exhausted and anxious, but soon realised they were safe. Their world had suddenly changed yet they began to trust the people now looking after them and soon rediscovered their natural curiosity.
Marley, Maeve and Vera are now confident, full of energy and spend their days exploring, scratching and chatting without a care in the world.
We promise that, if you donate today, we will continue to create a better future for hens like them.
With a more organised and spacious environment there is less time spent managing weather challenges and space constraints and more time spent on the hens’ wellbeing and preparing them for rehoming.
Your continued support can help us build the next safe haven, clean and secure, and full of hope. Your donations are actively saving lives.Denny co-ordinator, Lorna
Your gift in action
We already have 48 pop up rehoming points across the UK, with volunteers doing their utmost to send as many hens as possible off to free-range retirements.
Our Denny team in Scotland regularly battled the elements to do just that, but we thought they, and our feathered friends, deserved more which is why they were recently set up with a brand new stable to provide more space and shelter.
