The Hens at Number 10

Four lovely girls (apart from when they are eating my home grown veggies!) Mildred is an ex-battery rescued via the British Hen Welfare Trust, who has settled in so well with my other girls and always comes running for a cuddle. Gabi is a beautiful pure breed Cream Legbar, who lays pretty blue eggs. Doris is a Barred Rock who is a bit of a character – she doesn’t come running for corn at night like the others, but marches to the beat of her own drum! Beryl is a beautiful Bluebell, who is much friendlier than is typical for her breed and far too confident. She regularly manages to fly up on to our patio to eat my salad and dahlias, despite fences and having had her wings clipped!
